Creating a Demand Plan

Create a demand plan in Control Center.

  • Note

    Your current region is displayed at the upper right of the Console. If your tenancy is subscribed to several regions, you can switch regions by selecting a different region from the Regions menu.
    1. On the Demand plans list page, select Create demand plan. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Demand Plans.
    2. On the Create demand plan page, provide the following details:
      • Plan name: Enter a name for the demand plan.
      • Active: Select to mark the demand plan as active.
      • Resource type: Select the resource type.

        Example: Compute - AMD Standard.

      • Select Add demand plan resource.

        A preview graph appears along with empty fields for incremental demand by month.

      • For each month, enter a usage value according to historical data.
    3. Select Create.
  • Use the oci demand-signal occ-demand-signal create command and required parameters to create demand planning in Control Center:

    oci demand-signal occ-demand-signal create [OPTIONS]

  • Run the CreateOccmDemandSignal operation to create demand a plan.
